Manchester City smashed the record for the most expensive squad in Premier League history during their 1-0 loss at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola’s squad almost cost an eye-watering £900million.
City’s starting XI cost over £550m and Guardiola had £347m’s worth of players on their bench.
The game was settled by Heung-min Son’s stunning strike in the second half.
Jack Grealish who cost the champions £100million made his debut from the start.
City’s spending under Guardiola surpassed the £900million mark with the signing of Grealish, with the club winning 10 trophies so far in his five seasons.
The cheapest members of Sunday’s XI were Ilkay Gundogan and Ferran Torres, who both cost an estimated £20million.
Brazilian pair Ederson and Fernandinho, who cost £36m from Benfica and Shakhtar Donetsk respectively, followed.
