Good morning! Here is today’s summary from Nigerian Newspapers:

1. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday, invited Nigerian billionaire businessman, Obinna Iyiegbu a.k.a. Obi Cubana over alleged money laundering and tax fraud. Obi Cubana got to the EFCC headquarters in Jabi Abuja around noon on Monday.

2. At least, three corpses were recovered from the rubbles of a 21-storey building that collapsed in Lagos on Monday. The building, which was under construction, collapsed along Gerald Road, Ikoyi, a highbrow area in Lagos.

3. The Nigerian Customs Service has released the final result of its 2021 recruitment exercise. According to an announcement by the service, the listed candidates are required to report to the office of the Comptroller Establishment, Nigerian Customs Service, Old Federal Secretariat, Area 1, Garki, Abuja from Monday, 8th November to Tuesday 7th December, 2021 for documentation.

4. Rivers State Police Command said its operatives, ‘Puff Adder’, have arrested a syndicate that specialised in manufacturing fake drinks in Port Harcourt. The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Nnamdi Omoni, who spoke while parading the suspects at the State Police Command, Port Harcourt, on Monday, said that the suspects were arrested at their base in Eligbolo road in Rumuokoro part of Port Harcourt.

5. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Monday berated the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. Ortom who spoke in Makurdi after returning from the PDP’s National Convention in Abuja, said the worst military government ever in the country is better than the present All Progressives Congress (APC) government.

6. The Comrade Uchenna Madu-led Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) yesterday, declared that the November 6 Anambra governorship election must hold. The group said it has so far mobilised over 300 personnel to assist in making sure that the election holds as scheduled.

7. Sheikh Ahmad Gumi yesterday, insisted that granting amnesty to bandits is the solution to stopping the bloodshed in the northern region. Gumi, who has been calling for amnesty for bandits, said labelling bandits as terrorists will compound a very simple problem.

8. Medical doctors in Kwara State on Monday embarked on a seven-day warning strike across the 16 local government areas of the state. They said the industrial action was to protest unsatisfactory working conditions and demand better welfare.

9. President Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerian youths to see themselves as the greatest asset of the country. Buhari, who spoke on Monday while declaring open the National Youth Conference in Abuja, advised participants to promote the unity of the country and engage the government constructively on national issues.

10. Police detectives in Anambra State have recovered a locally made RPG Bomb and a hand grenade from the site of the shootout between gunmen and security operatives last weekend. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) DCP Aderemi Adeoye confirmed the recovery.
