A 25-year-old student of the Adekunle Ajasin University
Akungba (AAUA), Olusegun Adeosi, has become a car owner after winning a raffle
draw in the Etisalat Cliqfest.
Adeosi, a 400-Level student of the Department of Physics and
Electronics Engineering, emerged winner in a raffle draw which was the
highlight of the final edition of the 2014 Cliqfest.
“I don’t know what to say. My own brand new car? I thank God
for this, and I am grateful to Etisalat for this great surprise,” Adeosi said
when he received his prize.
Events leading to the raffle draw included a star-studded
exciting concert headlined by hip-hop artistes like Terry G, Dammy Krane, Dj
Zeez and Nigerian Idol winner Evelle, a session with renowned motivational
speaker, Niyi Adesanya and a five-a-side novelty football match.
Manager, Youth Segment at Etisalat Nigeria, Idiare Atimomo,
said the Cliqfest initiative is an opportunity for the company to interact with
and invest in young Nigerians.
“At every tertiary institution we visit, we expose students
to the business and relationship skills that are crucial for long term success
while creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere,” Atimomo said.
“This is important to us, because we understand the benefits
of investing in human capital, within and outside our company.”
Apart from Adeosi, other students off the institution won
many prizes including laptops and mobile phones.
Cliqfest is the youth-centric education and entertainment
initiative of telecommunications company, Etisalat Nigeria.
