The management of the University of Lagos Akoka have shut
down the school indefinitely following the protest on Wednesday, September
9, over the death of one of its students, Oluchi Anekwe.
The deceased, Ms Oluchi was electrocuted in front of Sodeinde hall in the campus on September 8th. Before her death, Oluchi was a first class 300 level student of Accounting.
Eyewitnesses say Oluchi was walking on the road when the high tension cable fell and landed on her head. She was rushed to the Lagos State Teaching Hospital LUTH where she was pronounced dead by doctors.
Quite sad! Our heart goes out to her family members right now, cos her death is one blow too many.
May her soul rest in peace, amen. Let’s pay our last respect to her by typing RIP
