Hmmm!!! Samson Siasia Offers Kidnappers N200,000 As Ransom for Mother's Release

The family of the Dream Team VI handler, Samson Siasia, has started negotiations with the kidnappers of the coach’s mother, Madam Ogere, according to the Eagle. The family, according to the gaffer’s younger brother, Demie Siasia, could only afford to give the abductors N200,000.

Demie appealed to the kidnappers to release his mother as the N150 million ransom as demanded was way beyond what the family can afford.

He said: 

“They (kidnappers) have been calling me and I’m still expecting their call this night. I told them that coach is not around and has not been paid for months.

“I told them we can only afford N200,000 and they banged the phone on me and I have not heard from them since. We can only appeal to them to release the old woman to us.”

Demie, who is a trader based in Bayelsa State, was however angered by the attitude of the Nigeria Football Federation towards unraveling the mystery behind the kidnap of his mother.

He said: 

“As we speak, no call from either the NFF or the Presidency to find out about the development and our brother (Samson) is in Gambia on national duty. All they did was to put it in the newspapers that the kidnappers should release our mother. It is sad and highly regrettable.
