Colossus Gists Team Recently conversed with Forever at the just concluded AliBaba's January 1st Concert to get to know him a little better....

- May We Meet You Sir?
My name is Akuidolo Orevaoghene also known as FOREVER. I am from Delta State, Isoko by tribe, a mechanical engineer by study, and an entertainer by profession. I major in comedy, compere, acting, public speaking, writing and sometimes singing. Just also to let you know that i am a human being.
- How Did You Become Interested In Stand-Up Comedy?
I have told this story many times. I interest in stand-up comedy was instigated in 2005 when i first watched Opa Williams "nite of a thousand laughs" and it was comedian "I go dye" that really inspired me and after watching it, I was like I can do same.
- What Do You Enjoy More, Acting Or Stand-Up? Or Something Else Entirely?
Do You Write Your Own Routines?
I do write some of my routines especially if it's going to be a long funny one.
- Where Do You Get Your Materials?
I get my materials from everywhere. I am a very spontaneous guy, so for me everything is a material that a joke can be created from.
- What Happens If They Don’t Laugh?
If they don't laugh at that time which is quite rare, I would tell them another funny one after-all rice and beans have different taste but both are sweet.
- Do You Really Make A Living At This?
- Who Are Your Mentors And Role Models?
I have quite a few mentors but in comedy my mentors are Mc Abbey & Saco. My Role Models are Alibaba, Fela Durotoye & John C. Maxwell.
- Do You Have A Particular Comedic Style, If You Will? How would you describe your work style?
I am very spontaneous on stage. I am calm, collected and crazy on stage. The audience and the flow determines the part of me that shows up. I do most of my jokes with good English.
- What is Your Best Job Done So Far?
- Which Is Your Most Hated Job You Did?
One event some years ago at the officers mess of the 82 division barracks in Enugu where the jokes just made up their minds not to be funny. It was a painful one, but I make fun of it now.

- When Were You Most Satisfied In Your Job?
- What Are Your Long-Term Goals Or Career Plans?
My long terms goal is to remain relevant in my field like my role model and be a good example for the world to emulate. My career goals are quite big like having my own comedy shows around the world, having my own television show, etc.
- As A Leader, What Are The Qualities Of A Good Leader?
The qualities of a good leader are numerous but for me, one of the most crucial quality is being able to replicate success with the genuine support of your followers and being able to help your follower discover themselves and create their lives.
- What Has Been Your Biggest Professional Disappointment?
One of my biggest professional disappointment was when I didn't collect an advanced payment and after turning down other events with a few days remaining, the other event was called off. I learnt a great lesson that day.
- What Problems Have You Encountered At Work And How Do You Face Them?
Every event is unique. No wedding is the same as another. So we face unique challenges at every event but with God and experience, we always solve them.
- What Was The Most Difficult Period In Your Life, And How Did You Deal With It?
I have had lots of difficult times in life and the only way out was total dependence on God and I simply obeyed his directions for me.
- Give Us An Example That Best Describes Your Organizational Skills. What Would You Say Are Your Strong Points?
My strong points are the values and principles on which my life is built and two of them are: 1. would this thing i want to please God, secondly, what is the right to be done at this time.
- What Do You Consider Your Most Significant Accomplishment?

- Any Advice To Up and Coming Comedian And Word Of Encouragement To Your Colleagues
My advice to up and coming comedians is that they should genuinely serve with a pure heart and that they should try to be creative. To my colleagues and my seniors already there, one statement is inevitable "YOU CAN BECOME EVEN BETTER".
