It was one of a kind friendship experience at the Eagles’ Club in Surulere as the No 1 Friendship Beer “33” Export threw together the Concert that literally shook the grounds of Lagos.
The City of Friends event is the brand's way of celebrating the World Friendship Day – a day set aside by the United Nations to promote the role of friendship in fostering peace in several cultures across the world.
The two-day event kicked off about 4pm in the afternoon and will not be forgotten in a hurry as top Nigerian acts including Phyno, Simi, Kizz Daniel, 9ice, Small Doctor and Pasuma made it worth the while of the attendees.
“33” Export delivered on their promise to enthral fans with an experience of a lifetime as part of the initiative to celebrate this year’s World Friendship Day.
The concert was hosted by some of Nigeria’s favourite comedians like Gordon, MC Shakara, and De Don who kept the atmosphere lighthearted throughout.
Day one was headlined by hit-maker Kizz Daniel, 9ice and Small Doctor. These amazing artistes did well to thrill fans to electric and energetic performances with back to back hits.
Day two of the City Of Friends concert in Lagos started on a very high note. They trooped into Eagles' club in groups of twos, tens and more. There were lots of interesting friendship games and energetic performances from the confirmed Alobam, Phyno, the beautiful Simi and the one and only Oganla, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma
Rapper and singer Phyno who already had a monster performance at the Calabar edition delivered an electrifying performance in Lagos that got fans rapping singing along to Fada Fada, Ise Ego, Obiagwu and even got a taste of some of his new songs like Onyeoma.
Simply Simi also came up with the goods, bringing that owanbe flavour and making all of us smile for her.
Pasuma aka ‘Pasuma Wonder’ came out and represented all the fuji music lovers, the fuji music Legend’s performance was as thrilling as we have never seen.
It was a fun packed event, with a lot of games to entertain attendees and plenty of prizes were presented as well.
Before people got carried away with the performances and the A-list stars, there were plenty fun games to play with friends, from pool to table tennis, snake and ladder, Jenga, chess, and scrabble amongst others.
Aside from the music performances, other individuals showcased their talents; from the Eyo performance to the chair trickster and several others. The crowd cheered on and there was no break from the ooh-ing and aah-ing.The excitement was truly unmatched.
