Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, has insisted that Manchester United want to hurt his team when both sides clash in the Premier League on Sunday evening at Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel, who has already met Man United twice during his time at PSG, said the Red Devils like to have space, counter-attack and use their speed to absorb their opponent.
The German said this during his pre-match press conference on Friday.
Tuchel’s men head to the game after beating Atletico Madrid in the Champions League 1-0 on Tuesday night.
“It helps if you know the style, the strengths and weaknesses. We have a pretty good impression of the style they [Manchester United] play and the spaces they want to hurt us, and their strengths individually and as a group. That helps to prepare,” Tuchel was quoted by Chelsea’s official website as saying.
“They [Man United] like to have space, they like to counter-attack, they like to use their speed and absorb our speed.
“They are a strong team that can defend very compactly, very good in transition whoever plays, and it will be a big challenge to defend all this.”
The kick-off time for the game is 5:30 pm, Nigerian time
