Former Chelsea and Manchester United stars, Joe Cole and Rio Ferdinand, respectively, have tipped Thomas Tuchel’s men to go through to the final of the Champions League this season.

They both also believe the rest of the teams in the quarter-finals draw will hope to avoid Chelsea in the next stages.

Thomas Tuchel’s side defeated Atletico Madrid 3-0 on aggregate to book a place in the quarter finals with goals from Hakim Ziyech and Emerson Palmieri on Wednesday night.

Chelsea have not conceded in their last six games and are yet to taste defeat under Tuchdl.

And former Blues midfielder Cole believes they won’t be fearing any of their potential opponents.

“It’d be nice if they can get to the Champions League final in Istanbul,” Cole told BT Sport.

“They won’t be worried about anyone at the moment, I’m sure about that,” said Cole.

Ferdinand, the ex-Manchester United and England defender, agreed saying, “A good place for Tuchel and his team will be that not many teams will want to play them,’ said Ferdinand.

“They’ve put themselves in a position where I think they’ll be confident going into most games, whoever they get in this draw.”
