Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, has reacted to his side’s pre-season friendly 2-1 victory against Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.
Tuchel said Chelsea showed good mentality during the encounter after coming from a goal down to beat Bournemouth.
Two second-half goals from Armando Broja and Ike Ugbo ensured Chelsea defeated Bournemouth.
Emiliano Marcondes did score for Bournemouth at Dean Court.
“I am always happy when we win because we play to win,” Tuchel told Chelsea’s in-house media after the match.
“It was a tough test, a tough beginning because Bournemouth started very brave and were very direct, aggressive and offensive. So we needed some time to adapt and to feel a bit more comfortable.
“Then we controlled the first half, had some quite big chances but could not score. In the second half, we had a lot of changes and interrupted our own rhythm. We had some crucial ball losses and gave away two big chances. But in the end it’s nice because we came back and showed a good mentality.”
