Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku, has revealed he fulfilled a childhood dream, after he scored in front of the Stamford Bridge fans on Saturday.
Lukaku has now netted three times for the Blues since arriving from Inter Milan this summer.
The 28-year-old’s brace against Aston Villa saw Chelsea win 3-0 and go joint top of the table with Manchester United.
But the goals also held special significance for Lukaku, as he was given a rousing ovation by the home crowd.
He told Sky Sports: “It’s my dream since I was 11 [to score here].
“I’ve worked hard for this moment. I’m very happy for the win. It was an important game for us. We showed the will to win from the first minute and I’m very happy with the result.”
