Kidnappers of the last Saturday’s abduction of nine persons on Oke-Onigbin and OmuAran highway in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, have placed a N30m ransom on their captives.
Recall that two simultaneous kidnap incidents were reported by the state police command on Sunday along OmuAran-Oke-Onigbin and Ekanmeje -Ekiti axis in the Kwara South Senatorial District on Saturday at about 5 p.m.
DAILY POST reports that although the abductors are yet to reach out to the families of the captives, they, however, got in touch with a friend of one of the captives, identified as Williams Owolabi on Sunday night and demanded N30m ransom to secure his freedom.

Alabi, said to be returning from a burial ceremony held at Isin Ekiti Local Government Area of the state on Saturday evening, fell into the hands of six suspected armed kidnappers who emerged from the bush, seized the seven occupants of the Sienna bus and marched them into the bush.
Another car driven by a pastor and his wife was also intercepted by unidentified gunmen at Ekanmeje-Ekiti axis in the Kwara South Senatorial District, according to the spokesman of the state police command, Mr Okasanmi Ajayi.
He confirmed the rescue of four of the captives in the Sienna bus, while three others are still missing.

Okasanmi, also disclosed that some suspects have been arrested by the police command and are helping in the ongoing investigation into the matter.
